LIVE IN PHOTOS: Remi Wolf and Jordana in Toronto

Pop singer-songwriter Remi Wolf brought one heck of a party to Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on October 15 & 16, 2022, supported by indie pop-rock artist Jordana.

Known for hits like Photo ID, an American Idol appearanceand a number of collaborations with impressive artists like Kimbra, Cautious Clay, and Still Woozy, Remi Wolf is a singer-songwriter who fuses pop, funk, and soul with a larger-than-life personality. Naturally, we were excited to see what she would bring to the stage in a live performance.

Jordana opened the show with an emotive set of music, merging the softness of bedroom pop with shredding guitar solos and an indie rock edge. Playing a number of tracks full of earnest songwriting, Jordana’s captivating vocals and humble stage presence instantly charmed the crowd.

As Remi Wolf geared up to hit the stage, the set changeover revealed an elaborate stage design with giant twinkling flowers and a couch adorned with brightly coloured fabric. Among a flurry of strobes and red lights, Remi Wolf ran on stage full speed ahead as she burst into the first track of the night, Quiet On Set. In a live setting, Remi Wolf’s crystal clear voice and magnetic presence truly shine. Whether she was effortlessly belting and scatting through jazzy numbers like Liz or jumping about stage rapping about vices on Liquor Store, Remi Wolf commands attention.

It was clear everything from the set design, to stage banter, and the in-between moments of the night were carefully thought out to give audiences the best experience possible. Halfway through the set, Remi Wolf and her drummer, Conor Malloy swapped places to perform what they called “Positive Affirmations,” with Wolf slaying on the drums and Malloy taking the microphone to recite positive affirmations with the crowd. Some of these inspiring messages included, “My happy thoughts will become my reality,” “I know how to do my taxes,” “I will pay my credit card statement,” and our personal favourite, “I am Dua Lipa.”

In between dancing and shouting our positive affirmations, we were able to snap some photos of the unforgettable night. Check out our photo recap below!
