Ali Gatie Live at History

Iraqi-Canadian singer-songwriter Ali Gatie brought the Who Hurt You? Tour at HISTORY on November 25, 2022. This is the first of two back-to-back sold-out shows set for Toronto, Ali’s hometown.

19-year-old Johnny Orlando, a Canadian singer-songwriter, influencer, and actor, kicked off the show. Loud cheers greeted him as he made his way to the stage sporting a Toronto Maple Leaf jersey. The heartthrob serenaded everyone in attendance with songs like Everybody Wants You, What If (I Told You I Like), and a rendition of The One That Got Away by Katy Perry. He also played the guitar on a few songs from his set while the crowd sang their hearts out.

After Johnny, the video wall advertised a way to get in touch with Ali via message while the set was transitioning to keep the fans engaged. Not long after, Ali made his way to center stage. The intent of his songs was expressed right from the start and conveyed his feelings throughout his set. Ali performed tracks like It’s You, Butterflies, and What If I Told You That I Love You, accompanied by creative visuals and lights complimenting each song. He also reflected on his come-up and encouraged fans not to give up on their dreams, as he is a testament to believing in oneself. Ultimately, fans were treated to an overload of R&B hits and new late-night tunes to add to their playlists.
