Spring is here and summer is coming. We’re going to be out and about more and more, so who wants to waste time getting ready to leave when we can just head out the door. When it comes to maintenance, brows are right up there. They frame your eyes and can make or break a look. And since no one wants to be tweezing, drawing and painting on our brows on the daily, I’ve reached out to our resident brow boss, Brittni from B. Beautiful, for her tips on how to keep high end looking brows as low maintenance as possible.

From quick and easy to semi permanent, here are Brittni’s tips for keeping your brows low maintenance while staying high glam.
Brow Shaping
The foundation of great brows is the shape. From full and fluffy to crisp and arched, your brow shape can make a huge difference to the look of your face and how “done” you look and feel. Having your brows shaped by a professional is a great way to capture the right brow shape, and gives you a foundation to maintain between professional appointments. Brittni uses a gentle wax specially formulated for the skin around the brows, top of the line tweezers and her well trained eye to craft the perfect brow shape for her clients, myself included. It’s “the perfect way to shape and define your arches,” says Brittni. “A cleaner, more maintained brow that’s all you.”
Brow Tinting
Embracing a brow tint service is a great way to beautify your natural brows. Think of hair dye, but for your eyebrows! “I love a tint to enhance your natural brows!” Brittni shared. “I love how diverse a tint can be, bold and beautiful or soft and defined.” A well applied brow tint will create a richer, fuller brow look that can last for weeks. Brittni creates custom tint colours for her clients, taking their hair colour, skin tone and personal style into account to create a complimentary look every time.
Brow Lamination
Brow Lamination was all the rage a couple of years ago, and according to Brittni, this service that started as a trend is here to stay! “You can do this service for soft and fluffy brows or as some like a strong lift,” Brittni advises. “It has also become widely more popular for clients with poorly done semi perm brows to cover them when they are not ready for correction.” Kind of like a lash lift for your brows, Brow lamination “perms” your eyebrows by applying a chemical solution that softens the hair, breaking down the hair bonds, manipulating the hairs, and then resetting them into a new shape. The results can be customized for any clients desired results and are a fun way to play with your brows without a long term commitment.
Microblading
The highest level of commitment on our list, Microblading is a form of semi-permanent brow makeup that lasts between 1-3 years. Using thin and short strokes and cosmetic pigment with a unique blade, the aim is to simulate the look of eyebrow hair to fill in gaps and provide a fuller, more defined look to the brows. “Microblading is amazing for everyone!” says Brittni. “It is the true definition of high maintenance to stay low maintenance. You can do it because you want to perfect your natural brows, cover a scar, fix 90s brows, don’t want to have to fill your brows in, medical reasons for hair loss and the list goes on.” Brittni will create a custom colour to ensure her client’s brow colour suits them perfectly, will use numbing creams to ensure the comfort of the client through the service and provide a touch up option after brows heal to ensure they look fabulous. As someone who has undergone microblading in the past and is still enjoying the results, I can’t recommend this service enough for anyone looking to save time, to revive the brows they overplucked and to just look and feel your best!
