A few years ago, we started testing products that could help anyone with mobility issues. Along the way, we found some options for slip-on shoes that are either similar to casual tennis shoes or comfortable walking shoes. We tested several brands and found two things: either the shoes were ugly, aka they looked like they were made for someone who would never look at them, or they weren’t easy to slip on or didn’t slip on at all.
You might be wondering, what does it matter? Why look for slip-on walking or tennis shoes? Well, first and foremost, there is a wide range of people who have mobility issues, with vast variations, and as such, there is a need for easy-to-wear and stylish footwear options. On top of that, as someone who’s thrown his back out multiple times in my life, I can tell you that I wish I had great slip-on choices when I was going through physio.
Aside from mobility issues, we chatted with parents who, at the drop of a hat, have to chase after their kids and are always on the go. It was also brought to my attention that convenience also plays a massive part in the draw for great slip-on shoes, which come in many different colours and styles.
So, over the last couple of years, we’ve been looking for a slip-on sneaker line that solves this problem. We want an excellent option for slip-on shoes that work and look great, and after thoroughly testing several pairs from Kizik, we can confidently say that we have found the solution.

In addition to being super comfortable shoes, they also have removable and machine-washable insoles. Just pop the insoles in the laundry and let them air dry. (Kid shoe insoles are not removable.)
Since we loved the Lima’s so much, we also had to test another style. Say hello to the Milan.
Milan – The stylish slip-on sneaker
When the men’s Milan slip-on shoes from Kizik arrived, and we opened the box, we loved the look of these stylish sneakers.
The Milan’s throwback look starts with a tightly woven nylon upper. Touches of authentic suede and a leather side dart complete it. The shoe offers a spring-back heel that stays comfortably in place all day. Take it anywhere, and enjoy the freedom to step in and go—no stomping, tying, or bending down.
The Milan is lightweight, and its responsive foam makes it super cushy to walk on. It is an easy, stylish shoe to slip on and comfortable no matter your mobility or activity levels.
We tested out the Milans over the course of several months and have to admit, they are a pretty great pair of shoes. They work for walking the dog or going out at night, are as easy to slip into as advertised, and have a great feel underfoot while also offering great support.
