Preston Pablo Live at The Axis Club

Fresh off his performance at the Toronto Raptors halftime show for Filipino Heritage Month, Canadian singer-songwriter Preston Pablo made waves in the big city, performing at The Axis Club on February 8, 2024.

His fellow Canadian artists, Jayde and Jordan Astra, were opening for him. First off was Jayde, who charmed everyone in attendance as she performed upbeat songs, then transitioned to her mellow tracks, showcasing her style and vocals.

Next was Jordan Astra, who turned it up a notch and kept the energy flowing through the night as he took the stage. The singer-producer captivated the crowd with his stage presence and audience impact. He performed tracks like Mesmerized, which got everyone bouncing. He also remixed Jack Harlow‘s Lovin On Me as an outro to one of his songs. He then teased his unreleased songs coming in the summer. Jordan ended his set with his track Hot Summer Love.

Transitioning to the night’s headliner, the crowd noticed the video board playing a short film of Preston’s journey over the past few years. As the band walked into position, Preston excitedly started his set. He opened up early in his set, sharing his recent breakup, which led to him performing STFU. He involved the crowd in singing along to “I wish I never met you.”

A few songs later, the show transitioned to an acoustic set. Preston got emotional, reflecting on his growth from the small town of Timmins, Ontario, and now making it to the big city and being recognized internationally.

He then performed a cover of Fast Car by Tracy Chapman, which has been all the buzz from its recent performance at the Grammys by Luke Combs and Tracy herself. The second cover was Ghost of You by 5 Seconds of Summer

With all the emotions in the atmosphere, Preston went all out and hyped the crowd with AY AY AY and Dance Alone. Flowers Need Rain closed the night for a proper send-off.
