On July 25, 2025, The Barenaked Ladies made their hometown stop at Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Ontario, on their Last Summer On Earth tour, which featured the support of other 90’s heavy hitters Fastball and Sugar Ray.
Fastball kicked off the show and set the mood with their cover of Tush by ZZ Top. While Sugar Ray really brought the heat with their very high-energy set; as their lead singer, Mark McGrath, made his way back and forth across the stage, making the crowd go crazy with his antics. He really knows how to put on an electric experience, coming right up close to the edge of the stage and playing his guitar into the camera. Their set included bangers, including Every Morning, Fly and their covers of Steal My Sunshine by Len and I Want It That Way by The Backstreet Boys.
Once the Barenaked Ladies came out, the crowd got right up out of their seats to jump around and party with the band at the stage. Band member Jim Creeggan came out for part of the set playing a cello in place of his bass, which made the experience unique to witness. To make their performance even more dynamic, an animated video would display on the screen behind them to go along with each corresponding song. They played a whopping 20-song set, including 2 encores, fitting in as many hits as they could, like The Old Apartment, Pinch Me, and If I Had $1,000,000. With a few interlude covers, including top hits Pink Pony Club, HOT TO GO!, TEXAS HOLD ‘EM, BIRDS OF A FEATHER and a couple oldies Highway To Hell and Summer of ‘69.
Last Summer On Earth tour concludes on August 2.
