The Toronto music scene witnessed a significant musical comeback as the Las Vegas dark wave three-piece, The Social Order, took the stage to open for French Police at Lee’s Palace on Friday, November 14, 2025.

This performance is a defining moment for two members, vocalist Mason Musso and drummer Anthony Improgo, after achieving massive success as half of the synth-pop phenomenon Metro Station. Musso and Improgo have reconnected, channelling a new, darker energy. They are joined by guitarist Andrew Ward, who has become a cornerstone of the band’s sound.

The Social Order delivers a compelling and dramatic blend of dark wave, and post-punk, Expect to hear atmospheric soundscapes driven by precise, heavy rhythms, creating a powerful contrast with the reverb-soaked guitars and Musso’s vocals. Their music is an immersive journey into introspection, drawing on influences that bridge the gap between classic alternative acts like The Cure and Joy Division and modern contemporaries such as The Soft Moon and Lebanon Hanover.

The band showcased tracks from their  EP, Tantalize, which has been lauded for its emotionally raw lyrics. The Social Order’s performance marks their first-ever show in Ontario, making this a must-see event for fans eager to witness.

The Social Order’s set was an intense, visceral experience, setting the perfect mood for the headlining French Police. This return to the stage is more than a concert; it’s a bold statement of artistic reinvention.

French Police closed out the night with their dark edge, accompanied by deep and rich vocals, captivating the audience with every word. Their cool demeanour really played a part in emphasizing how their songs are supposed to make you feel.

During a recent interview with ADDICTED, Mason said the band is heading back into the studio tour has concluded. So look out for a possible double-sided EP in the near future! To keep tabs on that and all things Social Order, check out their Instagram
