Multi-Platinum and chart-topping singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Ari Leff, better known as Lauv, performed at RBC Echo Beach on August 15, 2022, for the fourth stop of The All 4 Nothing Tour.
The tour is in support of and named after his sophomore album All 4 Nothing. This album is the epitome of an excellent pop record. This is because (1) there is consistent rhythmic energy across all of the songs, (2) the entire album is filled with memorable hooks, and (3) the songs revolve around the relatable subject matter of soul-searching. This all makes for an infectiously catchy body of music with a lot of replay value.
Live, Lauv was able to utilize stellar visuals and his rich vocals to show off this body of work and play a few additional fan-favourite songs. The highlights of the show were his live renditions of All 4 Nothing intro song 26 and his breakout hit I Like Me Better. During his performance of 26, Lauv sang tender vocals over an uptempo guitar riff and a nostalgic beat to show off the vulnerability and realness that is exuded by his sophomore album. During his performance of I Like Me Better, the audience created an engaging collaborative moment by holding up their phone flashlights while singing along to Lauv’s iconic verses in unison.
