Sacred Rose Festival Lineup Hits All The Notes

While firming up summer plans, many of us are factoring in which music festivals we want to hit.

An out-of-town festival combines two of my favourite things – travel and music. One resource I check out every year is here. But when I saw the lineup announcement for Sacred Rose Festival , I knew I didn’t have to use it. THIS is the festival I want to head to. Taking place on the outskirts of Chicago on August 26, 27 & 28, Sacred Rose boasts three days of groove-oriented music. While some may write this lineup off unfairly as a jamband festival, headliners include The War On Drugs, Animal Collective, Black Pumas, Khruangbin, as well as Kamasi Washington, Dawes, Hiatus Kaiyote and Blu Detiger. And sure, for those of us who love bands like Phil Lesh and Friends, Umphrey’s McGee, Goose and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, there’s a ton of icing on this sonic cake. If you’ve never heard of these artists, check them out. There’s a good reason they draw thousands of fans. To make things even more interesting, singer/songwriter Margo Price will be roaming the stages all weekend as the artist-at-large to add her voice and charm.

ADDICTED will be covering this festival, so stay tuned for more info!
