Italy continues to be a country favoured by many expats from across the world. Not only does Italy showcase a lot of beauty, but it is also a destination that has a lot to offer its residents. So, it is clear to see why it is so popular.

Today, we will be sharing our short guide on travelling to Italy. We will discuss four stunning locations that are a must-see. It’s time to start exploring!

Milan

If you like the finer things in life and have a passion for fashion, then Milan could be your ideal destination. Milan is full of quaint little streets, great shopping and hidden gems. Although it is Italy’s fashion capital, the city still has so much more to offer. The food is amongst some of the best in Italy, and you can discover the charming canals of Milano, which were designed and engineered by Leonardo Da Vinci. The luxurious city does come at a price. So, it is essential to know that the cost of living here is slightly higher than in other areas of Italy.

Florence

Florence is truly a beautiful city. It’s home to some of the most stunning architecture in Italy and many masterpieces of renaissance art. There are plenty of reasons why thousands of people come to visit each year. Not only is there plenty to see, but the food is incredible. You can dine out at some fantastic restaurants where you can taste some of the finest Italian cuisines. When it comes to renting for the long term in Florence there are plenty of options. You won’t have to look far to find an array of private rooms, studios or apartments which all range in price too.

If you’re eager to explore the iconic landmarks, a fantastic way to do so is by joining a free walking tour in Florence, where experienced guides will lead you through the city and share its rich history. Whether you’re interested in art, food or history, there’s something for everyone here.

Padua

You may already be familiar with Padua as it is one of the leading Italian art cities. It is also an extremely popular tourist destination. If there is one thing you are not short of here, it is the stunning architecture. It is also home to one of the world’s oldest botanical gardens – the Orto Botanico di Padova. Padua is not the cheapest city in Europe; however, it is not the most expensive. So, it is a happy in between. You don’t need a huge budget to live here. However, you will need a source of income to keep you afloat so you can continue to enjoy everything this beautiful city has to offer.

Trento

If you are a ski enthusiast looking for a new adventure, then Trento could be the place for you. Famous for its beautiful landscapes and quality of snow, there are plenty of well-equipped ski hubs where you can explore hundreds of miles of slopes. It is worth taking a look at some of the skiing areas in Trentino as there are many. You sure will want to prolong your stay here to enjoy some adrenaline-filled activities. Without a doubt, the views in Trento are some of the best around Italy. The lakes, mountains and waterfalls are a beautiful sight, and they are certainly something to be admired.
