This summer has had ups and downs weather wise, no matter the location. While vacationing, what I expected to be a scorching euro-summer was met with rain, humidity, and finally scalding heat. As someone who loves a full face of makeup and beauty innovations, here are the products I used to stay glowing, smelling fresh and getting the most out of my product.
The Return of Tinted Moisturizers:
I am typically a full-face foundation person, but the humidity makes it quite difficult. I’ve been alternating between the Water Glow Tinted Serum which hydrates like a serum but gives you light coverage. I prefer to mix the product on a mixing plate and get the balls of product emulsified before transferring onto my skin. The other product I’ve been wearing all summer is the Marcelle CC cream with built-in SPF. As a CC cream is Colour Correcting, I have been finding I get more coverage and the Marcelle product works better as a foundation substitute in my full makeup routing, whereas the Watier tinted serum is better as a grab and go.
Keeping Myself Smooth and Fresh:
I have been using natural deodorant for years, but have found that the longevity of the product lacks on particularly hot or sweaty days. The Kaia Naturals brand has two products I have been using all summer. One is their exfoliating soap bar called The Ingrown Bar, meant to get a closer shave though I have also been using it all over my body to preserve my tan. Their Underarm Bar made of charcoal minimizes odour and increases the efficiency of my natural deodorant.
