Many Will Regret Their Holiday Footwear Choice Without This Fix

As we gear up for the holiday season, many of us are thinking about the perfect gifts and stocking stuffers for our loved ones. At Blistape™, we have the ideal item for travel enthusiasts, fashion lovers, athletes, and anyone leading an active lifestyle.

Exploring new cities, hitting the gym, or strutting their stuff in style requires movement, which can cause discomfort from blisters and chafing – obviously putting a damper on the fun. And with holiday shoe purchases clocking in at 80%, the gift that should be going into everyone’s stockings next to the socks and personal care items – is Blistape™.

However, with new shoes often comes new pain. 50% of these shoe shoppers are likely to experience horrible discomfort from “yet to be broken in” shoes. Instead of hoping this year will be different, or reaching for bandaids that won’t stay put, we thought you might be interested in a little guide where we’ve broken down this season’s biggest shoe trends and outlined the type of pain they typically cause, and how (and where) to use Blistape to avoid it!

Our goal is to keep everyone dancing all season long without blisters or chafing.

Sling Backs:

  • Discomfort: Heel and Achilles tendon due to the strap that often digs into the back of the foot.
  • Solution: Apply Blistape to the back of the heel where the strap might rub against the skin to prevent blisters and irritation.

Over-the-Knee Boots:

  • Discomfort: Knees and calves, especially if they are too tight or lack proper support, leading to restricted movement and circulation.
  • Solution: Use Blistape on areas where the boots might be tight or rub, such as the knees, calves, and around the top edge of the boots.

Platform Loafers:

  • Discomfort: Arches and balls of the feet due to the elevated sole, which can alter your natural walking pattern and put extra pressure on these areas.
  • Solution: Place Blistape on the balls of the feet and arches to cushion these areas and reduce friction.

The Classic Pump:

  • Discomfort: Toes, balls of the feet, and arches. The high heel shifts weight forward, increasing pressure on the forefoot and often leading to pain and even conditions like bunions or metatarsalgia.
  • Solution: Apply Blistape to the toes, sides of the feet, and the balls of the feet to prevent blisters and provide extra cushioning.

Elongated Toes:

  • Discomfort: Toes and forefoot. The narrow, pointed shape can squeeze the toes together, leading to issues like blisters, corns, and bunions.
  • Solution: Use Blistape on the toes and forefoot to protect against the squeezing and rubbing that can occur with narrow, pointed shoes.

Kitten Heels:

  • Discomfort: Balls of the feet and arches. The slight elevation shifts weight forward, though less dramatically than higher heels, still potentially leading to pain in these areas.
  • Solution: Place Blistape on the balls of the feet and arches to help distribute pressure more evenly and prevent discomfort.

Thin, flexible, skin-loving Blistape™, is an innovative blister prevention solution that ensures you can dance the night away without a second thought about your feet. Unlike bulky band-aids or visible hydrocolloid patches, Blistape™ offers a superior alternative with its discreet, effective design.

Blistape™ is a new women & LGBT-owned Canadian brand that has already made waves at Vancouver Fashion Week and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) by saving celebrities’ feet from red carpet to after-party. Now, it’s ready to become your go-to accessory for the holiday season. Here’s why Blistape™ is a must-have:

  • Discreet and Effective: Crafted from a flexible, skin-friendly material that moves seamlessly with you, providing near-invisible protection.
  • Comfort and Style: Available in three skin-toned shades, Blistape™ blends effortlessly with any outfit, ensuring you stay stylish and comfortable all night long.
  • Spandex Technology: The proprietary blend of spandex and nylon offers superior elasticity and durability, allowing Blistape™ to conform perfectly to the shape of your foot. This ensures a snug fit that prevents blisters and chafing, even in the most demanding footwear.
  • Vitamin E Enrichment: Enriched with vitamin E, Blistape™ provides a soothing, second-skin feel that enhances comfort and skin health.

“Blister protection is often an afterthought until you’re already in pain from your shoes. With Blistape, we’ve created a solution that gives any shoe a ‘custom-fitted’ like feel. We’re thrilled to help everyone enjoy their holiday parties without the distraction of foot pain,” said Co-Founder Amanda Giles.

Availability: Blistape™ is available for $22 for a pack of 20 online at Blistape.com, Amazon, and select retail locations. It’s the perfect stocking stuffer for fashion-forward friends and family who refuse to compromise on comfort.
