Biffy Clyro The Futique Tour in Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall

In the midst of The Futique North American tour, Scotland’s very own Biffy Clyro made their return to Toronto. The return was Biffy Clyro’s first Canadian show in four years, so it was no surprise that the crowd was buzzing in the jam-packed Danforth Music Hall. The vibes for Biffy Clyro were different this time around; Bassist James Johnston is absent from the band’s current shows as he undergoes treatment for addiction and mental health issues. Taking over James’s role was Naomi Macleod, who plays bass for Simon Neil’s other band, Empire State Bastard.

Biffy Clyro came out of the gates with a mix of their greatest hits and new songs from their latest album, Futique released last year. After starting the show with A Little Love, Biffy Clyro continued playing hits from their catalogue. Songs like That Golden Rule, Wolves of Winter, and Black Chandelier got many of the audience shouting the words out loud to the delight of Simon and the rest of the band. They ended the night with Bubbles and Many of Horror as the sold-out crowd sang with Simon to the very end.

The Futique Tour returns to America before they perform at festivals in Europe. You can check more updates and shows from Biffy Clyro on their Instagram.
