It’s been a weird winter in Toronto, but despite random warm waves winter is still very much here. Enter WinterViews, a wonderful way to embrace what remains of the season. Feel like you’re getting away without leaving the GTA with an excursion to this pop-up in the heart of the Entertainment District. A cluster of cabins surrounding an artificial ice rink give great ski chalet vibes.
Warm spells won’t spoil ice skaters’ ambitions as the rink works in all weather, uses zero water, and requires no energy (meaning zero CO2 emissions). Entry is free, as are skate rentals, and you can pick the perfect package for you for a bigger night out in a cabin.
Don’t feel like reenacting Blades of Glory and rather sit than skate? There are entertainment options for you too on the big outdoor screen. @RendezViewsTO’s Instagram to find out what sporting event or cinema gem will be playing.
The beverage program on offer includes extravagant hot chocolates (available with or without booze), classic ciders, and mulled wines. Grab a bevy from the main lodge or opt for bottle service in a private cabin.
Once in a cabin you can treat yourself to various food options from the fab team at Selva and s’mores kits. We loved the slider platter with a variety of yummy burgers, and we hear the taco platter (below) is a big hit as well. We loved that we could hook up our own music to the cabin’s Bluetooth speakers for our own private dance party. And if you’re looking for more entertainment, don’t forget to inquire about karaoke when you’re booking!
