Eschewing the likes of a traditional, large-scale tour, Savanah, Georgia’s Baroness did what they do best. They got creative.

Currently embarked on their Your Baroness – An Intimate Evening With Baroness trek across North America, the heavy metal quartet came to Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern, an iconic venue holding fewer than 300 people.

Small and fan-friendly by design, the intimate concert was an all-request set voted on by ticket holders in each city. Compiling favourites with eclectic, not-often-heard gems, for those in attendance, was a treat to behold.

Setting the mood in a blaze, the show began with “Ogeechee Hymnal” jumping straight into deep cuts such as “Rays on Pinion” and “Fugue” as well as some classics including “Chlorine and Wine”, “Shock Me,” and “Take My Bones Away.”

From the moment they took the stage, until the final chords of their encore “Isak”, it was palpable that all four members of Baroness were thrilled to be there. They fed off the crowd’s energy, throwing it right back, musically playing at their masterful best with smiles on their faces from start to last.
