On March 17, 2026, The Summer Set transformed Toronto’s historic Opera House into a much needed, group therapy session. The air in the venue was thick with nostalgia and sheer excitement as fans prepared to reconnect with the soundtrack of their youth.
To ensure the energy in the room was electric, they brought along a stacked lineup of support: Good Boy Daisy, People R Ugly, and Senses.
Kicking off the night was fellow Arizona-native indie pop/rock outfit Good Boy Daisy. Fronted by identical twins Hallie and Dylinn, the band wasted no time grabbing the audience’s attention. Their infectious, high-octane performance and flawless sibling harmonies set the perfect baseline of momentum, warming up the vocal cords of the early-arriving crowd and setting a high bar for the rest of the evening.
Next to hit the stage was People R Ugly. Hailing from California, the pop-punk quartet injected a dose of gritty, rebellious energy into the venue. They brought that classic West Coast pop-punk sound, fast-paced riffs, freestyle verses, and irresistible hooks. Their set was a shot of adrenaline, getting the crowd off their feet and transforming the floor of The Opera House into a bouncing sea of fans.
As direct support, was Senses, who brilliantly bridged the gap between the aggressive pop-punk stylings of the previous act and the anthemic pop-rock of the headliners. With their driving alt-pop sound and emotive stage presence, they kept the audience fully engaged, building the anticipation to a fever pitch just before the main event.
When The Summer Set finally took the stage, the eruption of cheers was deafening. Delivering a setlist including classics like JukeBox, Boomerang, Under The Influenc(er), and Must Be The Music, that perfectly balanced beloved classics with a fresh, rejuvenated spirit, the band didn’t just play a concert; they guided the room through a cathartic, joyful celebration of resilience and rock and roll. or the song Teenagers, that is originally sung with Against The Current front woman Chrissy Costanza, Madison Taylor from Senses took the stage to fill in. They stripped down their set to bring an acoustic, reimagined version of Legendary. To close out the night, they brought a fan from the crowd up on stage to sing their classic hit, Chelsea, with them. The band mistakenly thought the fan’s name was actually Chelsea; and while it turns out it wasn’t, the mix-up made for a hilarious and entirely life-changing moment for her.
