It’s officially fall here in Canada, and even though we are just at the start, it’s that time of year when you should stock up on some warmer clothing before it gets frigid out there.
Now, a few things are essential for fall, including great sweatshirts and hoodies, super comfy sweaters, and well-made pants, which will help get you through the fall and well into the winter.
Over the past few years, I’ve become a massive fan of Mott & Bow and their well-made clothes for everyone. So, since we are gearing up for colder weather, I figured I’d share a few must-haves this fall that you may also want to add to your wardrobe.
The Sweatshirt
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been wearing one of the French Terry Sweatshirts, and someone has told me how comfortable it looks, and they would be correct in their assumptions.
This sweatshirt is well-made, durable, and a comfy one that will help keep you warm as the weather cools. It is a medium-weight 100% Peruvian cotton loopback french terry sweatshirt that is perfect for a casual walk or to wear out.

The Hoodie
This may be the most comfortable and durable hoodie I’ve ever tested. The Mott & Bow French Terry Hoodie is also made with a medium-weight 100% Peruvian cotton. It’s comfortable, soft, and versatile. Wear it to and from the gym or a friend’s dinner. It’s great for any casual occasion.
The hoodies come in extra small to double extra large in navy and black.
Twill Chinos
I first started testing the Twill Chinos from Mott & Bow almost two years ago now, and I have to say, the original pair is in the same condition as the new ones I just picked up, and that’s saying a lot.
These fall favourites are a medium-weight performance twill chino with the right amount of stretch for incredible comfort. The fabric has a unique garment wash added for that lived-in look and comfy feel, and they are super soft to the touch.
The Twill Chinos come in six great colours, 30 – 40 waist, and 30 or 32 length.
Long Sleeve Crew
For early fall, a great crew is perfect to wear on its own, and as the weather gets colder, it’s great to use as a base layer under a cozy hoodie or sweatshirt.
The Mott & Bow long-sleeve crew is a buttery soft tee made of Peruvian combed cotton. It’s light and comfy, and it looks great.

Cashmere Crew
I am obsessed with these sweaters.
The Classic Cashmere Crew is a mid-weight year-round sweater. Knit from the highest quality grade A cashmere yarn for a soft touch and to provide pill resistance. They are the softest sweaters I’ve probably ever tested, and since I tested the first one two years ago, and it still looks and feels perfect, I decided it was time to get a second, this time in blue.
The crew is 100% Cashmere and available in four colours, extra small to double extra large.
Straight Leg Jeans
A fall essentials list wouldn’t be complete without at least one pair of jeans.
The Mercer jeans from Mott & Bow are soft twill denim. The fabric is breathable and has the perfect amount of stretch for all-day wear.
Honestly, the jeans from Mott & Bow are fantastic. I’m wearing blue jeans from Mott & Bow as I write this feature, from reviewer to fan, and that’s how I know they are great. I’ve tested them for the past year, and know, without a doubt, these are fantastic jeans, as is all of their clothing.
