Since his last visit to the city, Hynes has released four full length albums, most recently releasing Essex Honey in August. Lead singer, Stefan Babcock, started their set by saying that on each stop of the tour, they’ve focused on a single album, before announcing that for this show, they were playing “all the hits.” This was met with uncontrollable applause that followed through the complete duration of the show. Being supported by Tumble and Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol, this show was nothing short of spectacular. Playing to a sold out venue, Shaggy had the entire crowd chanting along to his beloved It Wasn’t Me, Boombastic, Angel, Oh Carolina, and many more. Amassing nearly five billion streams and over two and a half million more daily, it’s no shocker that Toronto would show up for the reggae sensation.
