Art With Heart, presented by TD takes place at The Carlu, October 8, 2024. Art with Heart, which supports Casey House, is Canada’s most anticipated charity art auction, it promises to be a fabulous evening of art and philanthropy that supports people living with and at risk of HIV.
Casey House is a specialty hospital in Toronto providing ground-breaking care to people living with and at risk of HIV. We offer a growing mix of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services that meet clients where they are in their individual journeys of health and wellness. We are Canada’s first and only hospital for people living with and at risk of HIV, and have a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to health and well-being. Building on a legacy of advocacy and social justice, we actively dismantle barriers to care and safe living. We provide a community and sense of belonging that connects people to care. The humanity of each client is at the heart of everything we do.
Art with Heart was first hosted at 119 Isabella St. over 30 years ago and has turned into one of the country’s most beloved charity auctions of contemporary Canadian art. Every October since 1994, art lovers, artists, collectors and gallerists gather for an incredible evening of art and philanthropy. Over 1,000 established and emerging artists have participated, with many contributing as many as 21 times! Similarly, galleries have generously contributed artwork year after year, allowing the community to raise over $15 million for Casey House.
The evening features a live and silent auction of prints, paintings, drawings, textile and ceramic work by some of the country’s foremost established and emerging artists. A lively preview reception before the live auction is an opportunity for guests to see each work in the collection and choose what they love before raising their paddle to bid.
Guests will have the opportunity to sip and snack at The Carlu while viewing 74 works in collection (50 in live auction, 24 in silent auction) plus a Limited edition print by Meaghan Hyckie!
Tickets are on sale now but going fast! This event was put on by a committee of passionate and knowledgeable volunteers from the art community selected a diverse and stunning collection that celebrates the diversity of contemporary Canadian art.
Reception and viewing: 6:00 p.m.
Live auction begins: 7:30 p.m.
Silent auction open until: 10:30 p.m.
