Do you love Halloween? Better yet, do you love having the crap scared right out of you? Then we have the perfectly petrifying list of places to visit this fall to get your haunt on and have a hair-raising good time no matter where you are in southern Ontario.

Screemers (Vaughan, Ontario)

Screemers is Toronto’s original haunted attraction and has been running for almost 30 years. Due to Covid restrictions, their location has changed to allow guests to Live The Fear once again. As someone who’s attended year after year, I’ll tell you that this is the place to go if you want to jump out of your skin.

Screemers is a pay-one-price event, which includes all seven haunted walk-through mazes featuring over 120 live actors, and is the perfect experience for anyone wanting to really feel the terror that is Halloween.

To enhance your stay, Screemers offers unlimited rides on the Midway of Madness and a Food truck eatery area to satisfy your hunger pains.

Rain is not an issue. Screemers Festival is housed under a Huge 15,000 Square foot open tent, featuring realistic props and stage shows to keep you entertained.

Open: October 6 – 9, October 13 – 16, October 20 – 23, October 26 – 31

More Information: Screemers – Canadas Premier Scream Park

Legends of Horror at Casa Loma (Toronto, Ontario)

This October, the grounds of Casa Loma will once again be transformed into an immersive theatrical experience, Legends of Horror. Done in the presentational form considered “promenade theatre,” in which the audience walks at their own pace through a 2 km trail commencing in the lower gardens of Casa Loma and winding its way through the castles tunnels and darkest spaces never before open to the public.

Paid parking is available at George Brown College (south of Casa Loma off Macpherson Avenue). This parking is closest to the entrance at Walmer Rd. and Davenport Rd. There is limited paid parking onsite at Casa Loma, subject to availability.

Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Parental discretion is advised.
Strollers are not permitted

Open: September 30 – October 31, 2022

More Information: Legends of Horror – Casa Loma

1000 Islands Ghost Cruise (Kingston, Ontario)

Sail Kingston harbour after dark. This 90-minute ghost-cruise experience showcases downtown Kingston differently and examines the mysterious tales surrounding the historic city.

Offer one of the last chances to get out on the water before the cold weather makes that impossible, or unbearable. It’s not only a time to be spooked; it’s also a time to enjoy some beautiful fall weather, just make sure to dress accordingly.

Now that that’s settled, it’s time to set sail if you dare.

Open: Booking available now till Halloween

Bingemans Screampark (Kitchener, Ontario)

Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland (Vaughan, Ontario)

Halloween Haunt returns to Canada’s Wonderland with a sinister transformation this fall, turning the theme park into a scream park filled with Halloween attractions that offer unforgettable thrills and unspeakable horror.

Immerse yourself in the nightmare of Haunt, a Halloween event where the streets are filled with terror, including hundreds of monsters, terrifying scare zones and mazes, ghoulish street performers, live music, thrilling night rides, and electrifying live shows.

If you’re looking for things to do – or places to scream – this fall in the Toronto area, don’t miss Canada’s largest Halloween event.

The Stalking Dead (Peterborough, Ontario)

The Story:

Last year we thought we found the cure to the corn farmer zombie virus. There were many examples of prevention of zombie turns, and we thought we were on the road to recovery from this zombie outbreak. This year the new data is telling us a very different story. Now we are discovering that it’s no longer the zombie contact that is leading the zombie apocalypse. New zombies are appearing where no zombie contact was made, and the new host did not die first. Puzzled scientists from around the world have returned to ground zero to research this new phenomenon under the guidance of the governing enterprise, Human Advancement Research Medicine. Once again, a call has been made for volunteers to help scientists with their very important work.

It is NOT Recommended for players 14 years of age and younger. An adult must accompany those under 16 years of age.

This experience requires a minimum of 4 players per group. There is a maximum of 10 players per group. The experience will rain or shine.

Open: Throughout October

More Information: The Stalking Dead
