In addition to keeping skin wrinkle and sun damage free, sunscreen just makes good sense. And with so many different kinds on the market, there’s something for everyone, so there’s no excuse to forget that essential skincare step. Since I swear by the stuff, I figured I’d share some of the great ones that I’ve tried, and that I can’t live without.
This sunscreen takes the prize for simple and effective skincare. I love it because it’s an all-in-one product – there’s no need for another moisturizer, so you never forget to put on your sunscreen. It contains hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, so it helps restore the moisture balance in your skin, while it’s protecting you from the sun’s harmful rays. And considering it’s fragrance free and not too rich, it won’t clog your pores or irritate your skin. It’s basically the ideal man in moisturizer form.
Since fellow Addict Emy is in love with the Consonant skincare line, I decided to give their new sunscreen a try. The Perfect Sunscreen is the best natural sunscreen I’ve tried. I love that it contains a mica tint, so with a little bit of concealer under my eyes, some bronzer and mascara and I’m ready to face the world with near flawless looking skin. And with aloe vera, grape seed and rice bran oil, it’s got just enough moisturizing properties to be your only morning product, depending on your skin type of course. It lasts all day, and makes a great base for foundation to give you glowing, protected skin, the natural way.
This sunscreen makes your skin feel AMAZING, probably because of the skin loving and conditioning vitamin E it contains. It’s hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, so it’s perfect for everyday use, and you don’t need a secondary moisturizer, which, in case you couldn’t tell is kind of necessary for me to not only like but love a sunscreen. It also provides broad spectrum photostable protection against UVA & UVB rays, so your face will not only feel great, but will be protected all day as well.
FYI, all these sunscreens retail for between $20 and $45, so there’s no excuse to not get your SPF on, and keep your face wrinkle free and protected from damage. Do you have a favorite sunscreen? Tweet at @thenadiae or @weraddicted and tell us what it is!
