Ask Your #WomanCrushWednesday with Bossie AKA Anne Douris

Our #WCW this week is Bossie AKA Anne Douris! Talk about a girl who is a force to be reckoned with! Not only is she super talented and adorable, but she also does it all while being covered in sparkles. Her latest musical endeavour is as the pink sparkley princess Bossie, having just released her music video for Meteor (there’s a miniature pony in it, so if that isn’t an incentive to watch, I don’t know what is). Take a peek at her dating advice, which involves Twinkies and Billy Madison references galore.

What’s your ideal first date?

It includes a box of frozen twinkies, a comfy couch, a nintendo.
I guess a dude can come if he wants to hang but I’m player 1.

What’s your instant deal breaker?

My big one is that I can’t stand being patronized. When a dude talks to me like I’m a tiny baby with no life experience I’m out of there like a shot. Also, manners are super important to me. They’ll never, ever go out of style. Shake hands, say thank-you, put your phone away. It’s so easy to not be a jerk.
Oh and if you don’t get my Billy Madison references that’s okay but I don’t know how we’re going to communicate.
No milk will ever be our milk.

Have you ever done something crazy to get a crush’s attention?
In high school I had a gigantic crush on this musician-dude who loved Led Zeppelin. I spent way too many hours learning to play Stairway To Heaven to impress him. It didn’t work. And I’ll never get those hours back.

Who do you go to for dating advice?
I get my relationship advice from the same place I get most of my life advice: my therapist.

Don’t get me wrong, I kvetch to my sister/mom/friends. But I pay my therapist to know everyone’s names and to objectively help me make healthy decisions in all areas of my life.  I find that when I focus on being healthy, happy, empowered and in control of my stuff, the relationship stuff tends to click into place.

Describe your love life in one word.
snacktacular.

Check out her epic music video for Meteor!
