It’s the middle of May, and if you’re in Toronto you’re shivering like it’s still March. I welcome the idea of a hearty, spicy cocktail to put a fire in my belly and make me forget about the realities of climate change. And since National Caesar Day just happens to be today, it’s the perfect time to indulge in the day’s namesake cocktail and do just that.
One of the best things about the Caesar, besides the fact that it was born right here in Canada, is how customizable this cocktail can be. You can change the spirit, get playful with garnish, and mix things up with different spices and flavor combinations. We’ve got some exciting recipes to share with you that are going to keep things classic by making Caesars with vodka, Grey Goose to be specific. And though the cocktail is classic at its core doesn’t mean there won’t be a chance to have fun with just about everything else in and around the glass.
So this National Caesar Day, why don’t you try out one of these creative variations on the classic vodka Caesar cocktail?
