Every year, I wait until New Year’s eve to go shopping for the perfect outfit for whatever I have planned that night. I’ve never really been one to make decisions well, but thanks to the lovely ladies at Marciano, I was able to pick out two fantastic outfits, each perfect for a different type of New Year’s eve.
High waisted pants and bare midriffs were all the rage in 2015, so I figured I may as well finish the year off with this sultry trend. I’ll be the first to admit that I have a growler around my middle rather than a 6 pack, but these outfits made me feel so fabulous that any hesitation over showing that little strip of skin was nullified immediately.
This first outfit is a great pick if you’re spending your new years in a chic restaurant or upscale party, where posing for photos, popping bottles of Veuve Cliquot and toasting the new year off with your most fabulous friends. These flowy, high waisted wide leg pants are as comfortable as they are elegant. The leather lapels on the tailored blazer add just the right amount of rock and roll that I need to really feel like myself. But it’s that stunning, mirror glass embellished bustier that makes this outfit what it is. If there’s ever a time to wear a super sparkly bustier, it’s New Year’s eve – cheers and wear it well!
The 2nd outfit I picked out is fun, flirty and super comfortable – the kind of ensemble that can take you from 2015 right through to 2016 without ever losing that fun party vibe. The soft and comfortable leggings are perfect for dancing the night away, while the gorgeous blazer’s fringe adds that touch of sass and swing, accenting your every move. Add a little extra gold bling to match with the blazer’s hardware, the perfect pumps and a festive red lip and you’ll be ready to ring in the new year on the dancefloor.
