Vocalist Warren Frank has one of those enviously faultless voices which he demonstrates in the opening track, From The Start. The guitars add a percussive staccato that compliments drummer, Tanner Paré’s just-hardhitting enough drums. The second track is an infectious pop-rock song. Caroline (I Can’t Explain) that adds a bit of soul to the album. Is There Anyone is a moody rocker that crescendos into a lovely outro. Distant continues the polyrhythmic pop painted with reverb and ethereal background vocals. Low Light is a lovely song that closes the EP with a tale of disappointment lamenting “High hopes, low light. As I drive home empty-handed”
The Kents are having an EP release in Toronto on November 17th.
