“For No One” is the first single from STORRY’s forthcoming EP, INTERLUDE-19, set for release later this year.  The song was produced by one of STORRY’s frequent collaborators, Toronto’s own Junia-T and will apear on INTERLUDE-19, the latest in her series of conceptual albums, following the autobiographical release CH III: The Come Up.

Much in the pride spirit, the idea behind “For No One” is that “love, sex and sexuality have no limits.” It’s a slow groove with a melody that tickles the soul.  It’s a song that you dance to alone, with your eyes low and lashes brushing your cheeks, while kind of wishing someone was watching.  It’s both a quarantine mood and an anthem for freedom of self expression and love.  I could keep gushing about how much I love this song, but instead of taking up this space with my thoughts and words, I’ll let STORRY tell the story:

“All communities that are minorities are always being misrepresented, underrepresented, and treated again as unidimensional human beings. We often create these boundaries, like we do with everything else, about who we are, what we like and what we’ll never do. I personally was never one to explore too much with my sexuality, because I experienced a lot of trauma and at one point saw no value in sex or a significant other. Things have changed. I now identify as pansexual (a term I admit I only learned recently, meaning ‘not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity).

“It’s an incredible journey and I hope to continue to explore my sexuality in a free space. I hope the world learns more about what it means to be part of the LGBTQ2+ community. The fluidity of love and sexuality. We’re always trying to control things, ourselves especially. Be free, my friends, and watch how assortments of all kinds of love spring up all over the place. This song is for all queer love.”

Listen now to “For No One” and groove along with us.  Happy pride, love is for everyone.
