Stay Warm this Winter

Being a good Canadian country boy I know all about cold winters, wearing ski pants and keeping warm and while I might be making snow forts, having snow fights, or even making snowmen anymore, I still need to be warm when it drops below zero.

So I thought based on my own experience as someone who walks and runs a lot, is outside every day, and won’t let winter stop that, I have to be prepared.

After testing a wide array of products from Columbia here are some of my favourite items that have been keeping me warm this winter.

The freezing Days:

City cool and super warm! With its 550-fill TurboDown insulation, waterproof shell, cool lines, adjustable waist and faux-fur hood, the Barlow Pass keeps you warm, dry and protected in fabulous winter style.

This jacket is literally the warmest coat I have ever worn. Tested in very cold weather, high winds, snow, rain, this jacket really protects you from the elements like no other, while still looking great.

The Winter Workout:

It’s wicking, warming and ergonomic qualities make it a versatile, year-round, long-sleeve shirt. Wear it as an active fit baselayer in the winter, or as a standalone during workouts and recreation throughout the spring and fall.

A toasty compression baselayer for dynamic activity in the deep cold, this heavyweight tight is a strategic hybrid of stretchy, body heat retaining thermal reflective waffle fabric and Omni-Wick stretch jersey. The result? The perfect balance of warmth and move-with-you comfort.

The under-layer is key for winter runs, outdoor sports, and also great for working out in. It keeps you warm and adds an extra layer of protection while breathing so you don’t get sweaty underneath.

So stay warm this winter, but make sure you have fun. For more on products and details visit Columbia.
