CraveTO, Toronto’s outdoor local street food and craft beer fest, will take over Honest Ed’s Alley this Thursday, June 26th. CraveTO began with the intention of promoting the city’s cultural movement towards local food and drink. The event gave an opportunity to highlight vendors creating under the local ethos.
“CraveTO celebrates the spirit of community that defines downtown Toronto life,” says event producer Stev Baycetich. “We’re thrilled to share our favourite Toronto foods, DJs and brewery gems with our guests in a casual and social atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to celebrate summer…We live in a city with many cultures and diverse foods. There is always an opportunity to try something new and we express that through our food vendors.”
Here’s what you can start drooling for:

Let’s Be Frank: Extreme dogs
Oyster Boy: Aww shucks, I just love these!
Gushi: Really “gu”-d Japanese street food
Penny Lou Lou: Something to satisfy your sweet tooth
Bite & Sip: Who doesn’t like fresh pretzels?!
Poutini’s: nuff said
Bricks & Mortar: If you’re going to eat a sandwich, eat a gourmet one
The Saucy Pierogi: Pierogis are one of my absolute favorite foods. See picture below to understand.
Wash it all down with some local craft beer from Hogtown, Amsterdam, Wellington and Cameron’s. And enjoy the musical stylings of Lady Frequency, Diggy the DJ and Heath Van Viper.
