Say cheers to summer at Playa Bacardi

We’ve been waiting long enough for summer to arrive here in Toronto. After seemingly incessant rain, flooding on Toronto Island and at our Harborfront and our beaches, summer sadness continues to abound. But just because we can’t go to the beach, doesn’t mean the beach can’t come to us, right?

The answer you’re looking for is Playa Bacardi.

World renowned rum purveyors Bacardi will be giving Torontonians their beach fix, no matter what Mother Nature has in mind. Bacardi has created a pop-up rum bar called Playa Bacardi (Bacardi Beach). The Playa will be open for rum and beach lovers alike on  June 19th. Yes, Bacardi will be bringing the beach to you just in time for the first day of summer.

Playa Bacardi will feature tropical food and beverages inspired by four Caribbean islands: Cuba, Jamaica, St. Vincent and Trinidad. And of course no Bacardi pop-up would be complete without classic Bacardi rum cocktails. Bacardi Brand Ambassador and veteran cocktail connoisseur Juan Coronado will be our host, bringing island food, cocktails, and culture to the Toronto Waterfront.

Check out some of the beautiful drinks you’ll be able to imbibe here:

Join us on June 19th for Playa Bacardi. Let’s celebrate summer right.

See you there!
