Prologue Lifestyle- for Women

When I entered Prologue Lifestyle Gallery the first word that came to mind was “different,” in the best way possible. From the clean, strong architectural lines characterizing the store’s interior, to the avant-garde fashion, beauty and skincare lines for both men and women, all beautifully displayed around a small but impressive champagne and wine bar that is the store’s central focus, I knew that this was a place I would come to love. Founded by good friends and business partners Elle Ayoub Zadeh and Raymond Luk, the pair have curated the contents and services of Prologue to showcase everything cutting edge, well-crafted and new and exciting for the young and up and coming segment of Toronto.

I had the pleasure of being pampered for a morning at Prologue, and much like the shop itself, the experience was very different than the average spa, in the best way possible. Lovepreet, my amazing aesthetician, led me to the calm and quiet treatment room, and one of the first things I noticed was the music. Again, it was different than what you would hear at a spa: instead of soothing sounds of nature or yoga-like chanting, it was cool, ambient electronic music, just as soothing but far more suited to my musical sensibilities. Once I was neatly tucked in, Lovepreet proceeded with my Signature Facial, upgraded with their Microcurrent Treatment.  The facial was of the deep cleansing variety, complete with steam, exfoliation, and the gentlest extractions I’ve ever experienced, all using Nellie Tier products (a botanical based line from New Zealand) suited to my skin type. But the real difference was the Microcurrent treatment. Lovepreet applied the treatment to the right half of my face initially, and the difference was staggering. The skin around my jawline and cheek and brow bones was visibly lifted, the contours of the right side of my face far more defined than the yet to be treated left. It’s no wonder this treatment is known as a non-surgical facelift: the results were undeniable!  This treatment will definitely be a must for me before any big event. Following the Microcurrent, Lovepreet applied not only a hydrating face mask to my skin, but an eye mask as well to treat the sensitive eye area (yet another difference that Prologue makes). And to top off the facial experience, Lovepreet applied hot towels to my face and décolletage, and to my arms and shoulders as well. I’ve always hated how cold my arms became while getting a facial, so this small bit of attention stood out as more evidence of the care shown by the staff at Prologue.

As if the incredible facial wasn’t enough, I also experienced Prologue’s expert and luxurious eyebrow shaping treatment. I elected for brow threading rather than waxing (a personal preference). Before we got started, Lovepreet applied a refreshing sanitizing liquid to my own hands, to prevent any bacteria coming into contact with the skin around my brows as I assist with the threading, a common practice, but again with that Prologue difference. With the gentlest touch she threaded my brows, tweezing the strays and filling in any gaps artfully with the Billion Dollar Brows Universal Brow Pencil, just another one of the fantastic products Prologue sells.

I left Prologue Lifestyle Gallery that morning feeling pampered, relaxed and refreshed with some killer brows to boot.  It’s an experience every busy Toronto woman should have; I highly recommend it!  Make your appointment today by contacting the wonderful crew at Prologue today.
