TESTED: The Nioxin 3D Care System

When it comes to looking and feeling your best, scalp health plays a big part. Think about it, no one wants to have a red scalp, an itchy scalp or worst of all dandruff flakes on their t-shirt.

Whether we are under stress, our scalp’s pH balance is off, we have dandruff or an itchy, irritated scalp, instead of just hoping for it to go away, we should take action, and while some at home remedies really do work well, sometimes you have to just go to the experts.

In this case, Nioxin.

For more than three decades since 1987 Nioxin has been among the leaders in cutting edge hair and scalp products used by salons and women and a few men in the know.

After a harsh winter for the scalp, we didn’t want to wait till it was over to test out the 3D Care System.

This includes; The Cleanser Shampoo, Scalp Therapy Revitalizing Conditioner, and the Scalp & Hair Treatment.

Cleanser Shampoo:
Gently massage into hair and scalp. Rinse well.

Scalp Therapy Revitalizing Conditioner:
Apply from scalp to ends. Leave in for 1 to 3 minutes. Rinse.

Scalp & Hair Treatment:
Shake well. Apply evenly to entire scalp. Do not rinse

As I started testing the products over the first few washes, I did find that the shampoo left my hair feeling clean, as most shampoo do, the first notable moment was the after effect from the conditioner, it’s kind of heavenly.

My scalp wasn’t in horrible shape before, but between a lot of time in the sun mixed with time here in the crazy winter, this year my scalp didn’t know what was up or down. Mostly it’s just been itchy, so I Iaid off the hairspray and decided I should test out the system.

By the time two weeks had passed I hadn’t noticed a huge improvement, but, unlike the months prior, I did notice that my scalp hadn’t become worse, further more, the overall treatment and the conditioner specifically did offer a noticeable amount of relief from the thickness.

As the month rolled by, I had my final wash at the 45 days mark for the purpose of this review, let my hair dry, and I must say, my scalp is a bit better, it’s not really itchy, and just in time for spring to come into full affect, I have to say, my scalp is the best it’s been in the past 7 months.

Now, this may in fact be partly or mainly because of the treatment, but, I also made sure over this last couple of months that I’ve been drinking more water, in the sun I’ve tried to wear a hat, and I have used a lot less hairspray.

So, what is my review? I really loved the product. Honestly, the third step seemed helpful, but I’m not sure what impact it actually had for me beyond the first two, but I’m also not a chemist and did use all 3 and saw positive results.

The products are quality and have great fragrance and feel, not to mentions their cooling and calming properties.

I give the line a thumbs up. While it isn’t going to cure every issue you have, if you are looking to stop the issues from becoming worse, then I would suggest you run out and give the line, of which you choose which series works best for you, a try. See if it works for you!
