You see, John has built a business on the ‘coolness’ of the music business and rock n’ roll; designing collections inspired by and for musicians. And picking Nick Jonas was a perfect choice. Nick exudes that classic rock n’ roll confidence and aesthetic – and he hits the perfect 25-35 year old demographic. Sure, his model looks help sell it too. But the collection is actually good.
The collection came about when Jonas and John met, realizing they both have a similar affinity for music and fashion. Naturally, a friendship grew and this collaboration is the outcome of this bond. Although their aesthetics are somewhat different, they found they complimented each other. At the root of this collection is not just the music but the city of Detroit. While serving as the backdrop to John’s early life, it is also an American city steeped in the history of music and rock and roll.
The capsule collection features some great essential pieces that would be perfect in any man’s wardrobe.
