We live in a world of information overload, from your phone to your computer, to screens everywhere you go. One way or another we are being fed information, most of which we probably don’t even consciously take in. With all this noise sometimes it becomes very hard to focus, and even worse, it’s so easy to become distracted and be overwhelmed by so many other thoughts than the task at hand.
According to a recent Harvard study, people spend 47% of their day thinking about something other than what they’re actually doing. This distracted state, with thoughts about past events or what might happen in the future, can lead to unhappiness and negativity, and that is just not what we want for our lives.

I recently started testing the Muse, and I’ve learned that much like working out or exercising, it takes time to train your body, just as it takes time to re-train your mind. After my first week I truly see how the band and app can really take you outside of the craziness of life and teach you to reset your mind, clear your thoughts and really learn how to focus on the task at hand, in a calm and centred way.
