Mother’s Day Gift Guide

I don’t know about you but I have the best mum in the world. She’s my hero and the strongest woman I know. When it comes to Mother’s Day no gift or gesture comes close to conveying the love and respect I have for her.

Despite that fact, every year I do my very best to come up with a gift that shows her just how much she means to me. And with a little over a week until Mothering Sunday here in the UK, I thought I’d share a few of my Mother’s Day gift ideas with you.

Now it’s worth noting that no two mums are the same, and what one might love, another might not. After all, that’s what makes them all so individually unique and inspiring. That being said, I’m confident you’ll find something your mum will adore in the list below.

Mary Berry Quick Cooking , RRP £22 BBC Books

If your mum is anything like mine she has a library of cookery books at home. My own personal love of cooking was nurtured by my mum and one of my favourite gifts to give her is a cookery book. It’s not so much the book itself, but the memories we make preparing and eating the meals contained within the pages of each one that makes it such a special gift. If your mum loves cooking as much as mine does, why not give her Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking? Inspired by her travels, Berry has assembled a range of delicious, easy recipes that can be cooked from scratch no matter how busy you are. Sounds like the perfect excuse for an impromptu midweek family get together to me.

Openwork Butterflies Sliding Bracelet, £125 Pandora

You can’t really go wrong with a great piece of jewellery and I just know my mum would absolutely love this delicate butterfly bracelet from Pandora. Designed with filigree butterflies that dance around your wrist, this Pandora Shine bracelet is fitted with a sliding clasp for the perfect fit. The 18ct gold-plated sterling silver design is topped with a single sterling silver butterfly as a beautiful contrast. Every time she looks down at her wrist she’ll think of you and smile sweetly. And who doesn’t want to make their mum smile?

Bloom and Wild Flowers, £33

If there’s one gesture I know my mum really appreciates, it’s a surprise bouquet of flowers. Bloom and Wild letterbox flowers are the perfect gift for creative mums. Arriving with styling tips from their florists, she’ll love arranging them herself. What’s more, they offer flower subscriptions, meaning you can treat mum to a fresh bouquet once a month. That’s going to score you some serious brownie points. Choose from 3, 6 or 12 months or opt for an ongoing subscription to really show mum you care. Subscriptions start from £60 for 3 months of flowers.

Green and Blacks Chocolate, From £3

You can never go wrong with chocolate and Green and Blacks is quite possibly my all time favourite brand. Rich, decadent and made with ethically sourced cocoa, the finest ingredients, and no artificial flavours, preservatives or colours, each bar is something truly special. From their indulgent Mother’s Day Chocolate Basket containing a selection of handpicked milk and dark chocolate to their brand new Bark range, there’s something to satisfy all tastes and budgets. Available exclusively at Sainsbury’s the new range consists of three delectable flavour combinations: Orange, Almonds and Biscotti; Salted Caramel and Almonds, and; Hazelnut and Crushed Salted Corn. Go on, treat your mum to something sweet.

Baobab Collection Scented Candle, From £89

If you’re looking for a truly indulgent gift for mum, look no further than Baobab Collection. With a heritage rooted in the enchanting landscape of Tanzania and created in Belgium. Boabab Collection candles really are something special. The powdered rose scent of Women (featured) is fiercely feminine and the gold and pink glass design is inspired by the symbol of femininity and represents how precious women are. Whats more, the Women and Gentlemen scented candle collections support BIG and breast cancer research. I can’t begin to explain just how divine this candle smells but I can promise your mum will not be disappointed.
