Have you always wanted to see great art, but feel like gallery owners might judge you for not being art savvy? Maybe the sticker shock over your favorite piece being $40,000k, well Love Art has you covered!
Love Art Fair’s formula is simple yet unique: a relaxed, inspiring environment and high quality contemporary art. The fair offers an upbeat and friendly atmosphere in which anyone – from first time buyers to seasoned collectors – can find thousands of original paintings, prints, sculptures and photographs all under one roof, ranging from $100–$10,000, with more than half priced under $5,000.
In 1999, when Will Ramsay founded Affordable Art Fair in London, he transformed the model of the traditional art fair with his fun and friendly approach. By introducing a price ceiling and the mandatory labelling of artwork, customers were able to see exactly what they could afford. His aim was to make contemporary art accessible to everyone, and to show you don’t need to be an art expert or a millionaire to enjoy and buy art.
The great response from the fair encouraged Ramsay to explore other markets and the Affordable Art Fair has since become something of a global phenomenon with fairs taking place in 12 locations worldwide.
Love Art Fair will launch in Toronto on May 7–11, 2014, as the first showcase in Canada. In addition to London, its sister fairs are held annually in New York, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Singapore, Amsterdam, Maastricht, Brussels, Hamburg, Milan and Stockholm.
