The story isn’t a new one. As the line goes, a “tale as old as time”, the Beauty and the Beast story has been told and retold in so many iterations. The classic cartoon film, was one enjoyed by fans of all ages, but it definitely had its less than beautiful facets. It’s full of classist, misogynistic, and condescending undertones, but its songs sure do slap!
