Jim Beam – Pour and Play

When it comes to summer there are three things that come to mind when we think about how to enjoy time well spent on those warm nights. First you need great friends as the right company can often make or break a night in or out. Second you need some amazing music, and as someone who loves so many different genres of music there are often times I am inspired by my circle on what I should check out live or even just listen to in my limited downtime. And lastly is a nice cold drink, and whether it be a beer, or a fun cocktail that can also set the tone of the night.

Knowing very well the Jim Beam is a supporter of music, I thought, what better way to spend a night in than with good friends enjoying some simple drinks, while listening to some great music. We dubbed the night #PourandPlay and let the musical magic happen.

For those of you that don’t know, Jim Beam is brand of bourbon whiskey produced in Clermont, Kentucky. Since 1795, seven generations of the Beam family have been involved in whiskey production for the company that produces the brand, which was given the name “Jim Beam” in 1933 in honour of James B. Beam, who rebuilt the business after Prohibition ended.

So with some help from Jim Beam white label, and some amazing friends including Nate Daniels from Cairo and Galen Hogg from Tiny Danza, we cracked the bottles open, turned the music up and let the games begin.

Since we all have wildly different taste we decided to all make different drinks to keep everyone happy. From a Blueberry iced tea with JB, to a bloody mary, JB and Soda, to a shot of JB with a taste of bitters we all managed to show off our distinct identities thought our drinks. And that’s not where it ended. Just as our taste in cocktails run in all different directions, so of course does our taste in music. So we each created our dream playlist to showcase those wonderfully wild differences.

Here’s out ultimate Pour and Play list that we came up with that night:
Arctic Monkey’s – “Do I Wanna Know”
The Glorious Sons – “Heavy”
John Jacob Magestry – “Greatest Story”
July Talk – “My Neck”
Kovak – “Swing Song”
Cairo – “A History of Reasons”
Tove Lo – “Not on Drugs”
Ice T – “You Can Do It”
Major Lazer – “Lean On”
Tiny Danza – “Beat Fly”
Galantis – “Runaway (U and I)”
Citizen Cope – “Let the Drummer Kick”
Ginuine – “Pony”
Al Green – “Let’s Stay Together”

From indie to mainstream, EDM to Soul we pretty much covered the gamit of the ultimate playlist, there is something for everyone, which is not only the key to a great night, but it’s the same with the drinks we made with JiM Beam, weather is be a sweet drink with some pop music, or on the rocks with listening to metal, this summer we invite you to get some friends together so you too can Pour and Play.

Feel free to share your night with us @WeRAddicted or @TheMaleAddict and @JiMBeam #PourandPlay
