iZettle is live

In just under a week, the brains behind iZettle helped six of Britain’s smallest businesses open their own flagship store on the nation’s greatest shopping street for 12 hours each.  That’s right: one store, with six grand openings and six grand closings in six days on Oxford Street, the busiest shopping street in England.  Quite a retail feat!

iZettle builds game-changing payment services and apps with the mission to make it easier to run a small business. With iZettle you can run your business on a tablet or smartphone. And take card payments wherever you are.

It’s a fact that we are currently working within a very challenging business environment, but there is probably no business more challenging and competitive than the retail industry.  Acting as an inspration to the independant and the business minded, iZettle wants to remind entrepreneurs that even global brands that have made a huge name for themselves by operating on Oxford Street in London all started out as small businesses. In this brand-obsessed world, it’s getting harder and harder to achieve success. Shopping districts around the world are dominated by big and well known brands. But small business rebels, entrepreneurs and nomadic retailers are fighting hard to bring their products to the world.

iZettle’s mission is all about supporting small businesses and helping them succeed despite the challenges they face.  To that end, they did something no company has ever done before – they invited six of Britain’s smallest businesses to open up their very own flagship store on Britain’s greatest shopping street. Every night a tireless effort was made to transform the store space to match each business giving them everything they needed to compete with the big brands. The iZettle payment solution was the only element that stayed the same. For 12 hours each, these businesses got to showcase their brand to an audience that only a shopping destination like Oxford Street can command.  During the six days shoppers had the chance to discover a new, unique and exciting brand each day. And it became a great success. The foot traffic, buzz and response was huge. The six small businesses encountered results beyond their expectations.  It’s a chance none of the businesses would have received, without the work of iZettle.

Offering small businesses solutions to make life easier and to make more money?  That’s something we can definitely get behind.  Check out iZettle today for more success stories.
