Film Inspired Cocktails

It’s that time of year again, TIFF is here.

For those of you that don’t know TIFF, is the Toronto International Film Festival, and every September it takes over the downtown of our fine city as we celebrate everything to do with film.

Now while you may think about the stars and snacks, along with the films, of course, my mind wanders to the great drinks. So, we thought we’d reach out to our pals over at Grey Goose and see what they will be serving for TIFF, so you can enjoy so of these delicious drinks for yourself.

Without further ado, roll picture!

LE PREMIERE

A GREY GOOSE® twist on the classic movie snack to toast the world’s best in film.

Ingredients
1 1/2 parts GREY GOOSE® Vodka
3/4 parts popcorn syrup
1/2 parts fresh lime
8 mint leaves
Method: Stir all ingredients in a collins glass with crushed ice, and garnish with fresh mint and popcorn.

Popcorn Syrup:
250 ml water
250 g granulated sugar
1 bag of extra buttery popcorn
Method: Bring water to a boil. Remove from heat and add half a bag of popcorn. Let it infuse for 10 minutes. Strain out popcorn through a sieve, conserving the popcorn water and squeezing as much liquid out of the kernels as possible. Bring the liquid back up to a boil and repeat steps 2 & 3 with the remaining popcorn. Combine the popcorn liquid with sugar and stir until dissolved. Bottle and keep refrigerated.
