Exclaim! and Toronto promoter Dan Burke have once again teamed up to bring us a concert series of the best up and coming artists to watch out for in the New Year. Each year, the series brings a number of talented bands together for showcases throughout January to start the year on a high note. Toronto folk bands Blue Sky Miners and Olivia and the Creepy Crawlies took over Lee’s Palace on January 26th as part of the Class of 2019.
Olivia and the Creepy Crawlies warmed the hearts of everyone in the crowd with earnest lyrics and tight harmonies. Striking a balance between upbeat dance numbers and captivating ballads, they know how to leave a lasting impression. Blue Sky Miners closed out the show with a cozy stage setup, and anthemic tunes that had everyone singing along.
