I have always loved a good cover song. To me there’s nothing better than when one artist is so inspired by another’s work, that they take it and transform it into something entirely new. There are tons of amazing covers like this, and many more that will surely be created. I figured I would start to share some of my favorites and new discoveries with all of you out there, starting to today with The Elwins‘s cover of Adele‘s hugely successful single “Hello”.
For an indie band like the Elwins, covering such a wildly popular song is just smart – people are already obsessed with and/or on the verge of being sick of the original, so their take on it will definitely attract the ears of many a music lover. But as we all know, the Elwins are not only smart, but super fucking talented. Not only did they pick the perfect song to cover, but they covered it ever so wonderfully. Take a listen below.
I love a gender bending cover. If you like what you hear, then give the Elwins some love for their original music by heading over to their website here.
