Checking in with One Bad Son

Addicted favorites One Bad Son just released their latest single, “Satellite Hotel” (from their forthcoming fall album), a song that I am in real danger of actually getting addicted to. Seriously, is there music rehab out there? I’m in need. And clearly I’m not the only one, since this amazing track has been the #1 Most Added song on the Active Rock Chart for two weeks in a row!

One Bad Son made a name for themselves as one of the hardest working live bands in Canada, and it’s no secret as to why.  In their decade-long tenure the foursome toured tirelessly, opening for great bands like Monster Truck, Crash Karma, and Three Days Grace. Last November, the band was crowned victor of SiriusXM’s Rock The Grey Cup, where they represented the Saskatchewan Roughriders and played during the festivities at the 101st Grey Cup. Singles “Scarecrows” and “Retribution Blues” (from their self titled album, released in 2012) burned up the rock radio charts and engrained themselves into the musical consciousness of Canadian rock lovers.  Not a band to rest on the laurels of their success, OBS are at it again with more shows, their aforementioned new single and a soon to be released video to go with it, and of course a new album fans are eagerly longing to hear.

I got the chance to catch up with bassist and baseball fanatic Adam Grant before the band’s show at the Horseshoe Tavern this week.  Take a listen here and catch up for yourself!
