Carnivor Cabernet

You know that I am constantly searching to find you my wonderful readers the best food, great locations where you can enjoy time with friends, and of course wonderful wine. And wouldn’t you know it, I managed to find all three at once, all while running into a fellow man of taste and style, a man who holds the title of the most handsome man in the UFC, my friend Elias Theodorou as well as catching up with my dear friend Thomas (pictured with me below) at the same time.

I was invite to join Elias and a select group of media for a fun, interactive dinner at the Shark Club in Toronto, to taste and enjoy Carnivor Cabernet 2013.

Carvivor is big and bold in style, and offers intense, dark fruit aromas and deep, inky color. A plush, velvety mouthfeel frames rich flavors of dark berries, coffee, mocha and toasted oak, all backed by a distinctive smoothness and a lingering, silky finish.

What does all that really mean you ask? Well as we found out that night it is the PERFECT wine to go with really any type of meat. It’s bold taste offers the perfect compliment to steak, sausage, cured meats and surprisingly also went really well with the fresh summer dijon steak salad that we had, making it not just a “winter red” but a wine that could work as a great dinner accompaniment for summer nights around the BBQ.

This delicious and robust Cabernet Sauvignon from California has an Alcohol Content of 13.8% and is available at the LCBO for the great price of 16.95.

So as we gear up for BBQ season, maybe it’s time you stock up on the perfect pairing for those wonderful summer nights spent with great food, and close friends.
