Let’s go back a in time. Before the wildly successful South Park and The Book of Mormon, co -creator Trey Parker wrote and directed Cannibal! The Musical over spring break during his time at the University of Colorado.
Now Toronto welcomes what may just be the theatre event of the season. Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical hits the stage and boasts that it will “bear all the hallmarks of a Parker-Stone collaboration: juvenile humour, complete irreverence and the slaughter of innocents” The re-vamped production is “Full of songs, dance and laughs, this show will mark the world premiere of a re-vamped show featuring additional book, lyrics and music by Christopher Bond (Evil Dead – The Musical!), Aaron Eyre and Trevor Martin.”
Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical is on stage at David Mirvish’s Panasonic Theatre (651 Yonge St.) from Feb. 10 to Mar. 8, 2015. The highly anticipated new production tells the hilarious, and (mostly) true story of Alferd Packer, the only person ever convicted of cannibalism in America.
We’ll be there at opening night to give you our full review (which we hope to be Addicted at first sight)
