On November 27, Bülow proved she has a home here in Toronto. Riding the high of her Breakthrough Artist of the Year nod at the 2019 Juno Awards, along with the October release of her EP, The Contender, Bulow ended her tour at The Danforth Music Hall on a high note. Loaded with tasty synths, Bülow has created a unique sound within pop and alternative music that is setting her apart from the rest, while still maintaining space in the world of radio.
The lighting throughout her set was akin to the darker vibe of her music and style. Through favourite’s like You & Jennifer, Get Stüpid, Not A Love Song, and Sweet Little Lies, Bülow had everyone in the room swaying to the music. While Bülow bounced around the stage most of the night, she didn’t shy away from quieter moments. There were sections of complete stillness where her voice softened up the room between upbeat electro sounds, showing her vulnerability and flexibility as an artist.
At just 19 years of age, Bülow is on track for rapid success around the world. With an already impressive and diverse discography, expect her to be selling out much larger venues in the near future.
