Cabo will leave you Breathless

Last month I had the pleasure of visiting Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Breathless Cabo Resort and Spa to be exact. And it was one of the best vacations of my life.

That may be a bold statement but getting away from bad weather, coming to sunny skies and clear water was just the beginning of what might be one of the most relaxing locations I’ve visited too date.

Say hello to Breathless Cabo Resort and Spa.

From the moment I stepped off the plane, the awesome team from Amstar chauffeured me to the resort in an ultra comfortable and cool SUV in what seemed the perfect scenic wind down from the flight over.

As I stepped out of the SUV, I saw the most beautiful sights in every direction, and in a moment, I knew that it was going to be a week filled with relaxation in a little piece of paradise.
As I mentioned the views are just the beginning. At Breathless Cabo they pretty much want to make sure you are taken care of, enjoying your experience and really, that you are having a wonderful day, each and every day of your stay.

I’ve been all over and I have to say, the staff at the resort that you visit plays a huge part in the quality and overall enjoyment of your stay. From the moment you are greeted by the valet or concierge, checking in at the front desk and all the people you’ll come across along the way, if they are all at the top of their game, it makes for a fantastic stay, especially when the location, hotel, and spa are just stunning.

At Breathless Cabo, the entire staff super helpful, sweet, and repeatedly went out of their way to say hello and make sure I was having a great day, all without overstepping and asking too often. The resort was honestly straight out of a dream.

From relaxing in the sun at breakfast at their buffet to sipping coffee in the adorable little coffee shop called The Nook, Breathless Cabo was not only set up perfectly to just kick back, they also had a great offering of food, non-alcoholic drinks, top-shelf spirits, and amazing treats. Really if you wanted something, anything,  they probably had it.

With more than 5 restaurants on the property, you can have Italian, Mediterranean, or have some local fare including seafood. Your stomach and your palette are sure to happy and satisfied.

Not only was the food great, the coffee was truly delicious (shout out to the guys who made me several different selections daily). From espresso to cappuccino, latte, to americano, they did it all at The Nook.

The drinks were delicious, and cocktail and spirit choices were comprehensive, and I was able to enjoy several of my faves including Ballantine’s on the terrace. At that moment, I have to admit, I felt pure joy.

The hotel is mid-sized, meaning that it’s not heavily crowded like some locations I’ve been to over the years. It also has the classic breathless vibe. One side is quiet and calm both day and night, and the other is an ongoing party with a DJ, games, and so much more.

The hotel is fairly new, so it was shiny and super clean. The rooms were so sleek, modern and really comfy. And while I didn’t spend much time there, the rain shower was such a beautiful touch.

The hotel offers two beautiful pools, a full gym, and a stunning spa where you can enjoy an array of treatments, or just spend some time pampering yourself in the spa area, hot tub, or have a snack and glass of champagne while looking out onto the ocean.

Really it seemed I could find endless things to do, without ever leaving the resort. Steps away from breathless are a plethora of boats you can rent of all sizes to head out on the water, restaurants close by if you’d like to venture out for a bit to eat, or just explore the area and get some views from up on high. Really, I just didn’t want my time in Cabo to end.

As sure as time passed the sunset on my final day at Breathless, I must admit, I was sad to go. The weather, the people, the food, the resort, the week in time when it felt like life stood still as I took a moment to visit paradise, and that it was.

The name couldn’t ring truer. The beauty, the experience, the resort, if your trip is anything like mine, your stay will also leave you, breathless.
