BEARFACE Canadian Whisky

We were recently tipped off to a new Canadian Whiskey that had hit the market, and since we love us some of the delicious dark liquor, we just had to try it out for ourselves. So we did.

By sourcing only the finest 7-year-old single grain whisky from distilleries across Canada, the team from Bearface drive it to Mission Hill, B.C – wine country to begin their process of collaboration, how Canadian.

As a team, working with the communities around them, created Bearface Triple Oak Canadian Whisky.

Made in Ex-bourbon American Oak barrels from the whisky makers. To impart vanilla notes. Ex Bordeaux tight grain French Oak casks from the winemakers. To impart dry fruit notes and a rich colour. Finished in Virgin Hungarian Oak, air dried for 3 years from our coopers. To impart rye-like notes.

Experience notes of vanilla, dried fruit (I’m reminded of mincemeat tarts) and spice. Enjoy on its own or use in a classic whisky cocktail.

THE BEAR NAKED

Try it over rocks with a lemon twist to wake it up, add iced water to truly bring out the three oaks.

 

KITSILANO MULE

Pour Bearface over chunky rocks, top up with ginger beer and add a cinnamon stick. Serve in a camping mug for that authentic Canadian vibe. Garnish with lime.

  • GINGER BEER – 5oz
  • CINNAMON STICK
  • LIME

 

OLD FEARLESS

Stir all three ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, strain into a rocks glass over large ice cubes and garnish with an orange twist.
