I’m a fairweather fit person at best. Nothing bores me more than running on a treadmill, moving on an elliptical and doing endless amounts of sets and reps in a gym. While I do love boxing, finding time to attend classes and training sessions is challenging, making it very hard to get into a good fitness routine. If there’s one person out there who is able to get me engaged in working out, it’s trainer and boxing professional Lita Mae Button. Why you ask? She’s fun, she’s innovative and she’s so positive and encouraging. Her brand of fitness is all about health and wellness, both physically and mentally, and it makes her a great trainer. So when I heard that she had dreamed up a concept that will become the pinnacle of positive fitness, I had to share it with the world. I’m talking about this summers’ workout sensation, the Badass Button Boot Camp Retreat lead by the one and only Lita!
Have you ever wanted to know what it would be like to train like a fighter? Not sure about where to begin your health and fitness journey? Need inspiration and motivation to get going on your workouts? Badass Button Bootcamps are exactly what you need. These camps, that are really just very active country retreats include a two day and two night stay, filled with activities, fitness and otherwise, tailored to the attending group’s needs. It’s a true authentic bootcamp to help people jump start their health and fitness goals, feel good about themselves inside and out, and reconnect with nature. Says Lita”With twenty years of experience teaching groups, eleven years of fighting and training for boxing under my belt and an absolute a love for the country, I wanted to create a fitness activity that would combine a special adult training experience all in one weekend. This bootcamp combines all the things I loved about excercise, and will help the women that attend feel strong and empowered as well.”
The bootcamp includes:
-two days and two nights retreat accommodations
-six structured workouts
-five meals and two snacks
-Workout and nutrition log book
-A six week training program, tailored to meet and maintain your goals after leaving BABB retreats
The bootcamp will take place around a variety of country settings to workout in Woodview Ontario, with a beautiful beach to breath in fresh lake air, country side hills to run up and down, and tall trees to shade you when the sun gets too hot. On the off hours of the camp, there is access to a golf course, and a provincial park that has five hundred year old Aboriginal Rock Carvings to explore…that is if campers are not too tired from getting their “Badass Butt On”.
