Ask your #WomanCrushWednesday with Sasha Exeter

Have you ever met someone at a point in life, then ran into him or her years later, when both of you are eons away from that place you were both in so long ago? That’s exactly what happened to me when I ran into the wonderful Sasha Exeter at a fashion event when Mark and I first started this magazine. Years ago I was a stylist at Mendecino, and when Sasha came in just to buy a dress, she left with more than she bargained for – my style advice, my loudmouth attitude and my friendship. It was a pleasure to run into her again years later only to find that she’d changed courses in life, and we were in the same line of work. me just starting out, her well on her way. I’ve come to admire her work as a writer  and influencer very much, and I’ve learned a lot by watching her work. As the Creative Director SoSasha.com SoSasha.com, a lifestyle digital publication, Sasha went from corporate maven to self-proclaimed “Brand Story-Teller”, working with companies like Nike Canada, Lululemon, Cuisinart, Schwinn Bikes, Equinox Fitness and more. An avid runner, Sasha has used the sport to help her overcome her medical challenges, and through this journey she’s inspired many others to lace up and run! For her tenacity, her passion, her strength and her beauty, inside and out, this week Sasha is our #WCW.
What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?
His shoes. I make shoe contact before I make eye contact!
Who would you want to have make the first move?
Unbeknownst to many, I’m a bit old fashion. He has to make the first move.
What is your ideal first date?
Dinner in a cozy restaurant with delicious wine pairings, followed by a summer night walk to Bang Bang for ice cream sandwiches.
What’s your instant deal breaker?
A man who is not physically active. He doesn’t have to be a “runner” but he needs to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Who do you go to for dating advice?
It all depends on the situation to be honest, but I usually turn to my friend Christian Thompson. He’s the male version of me and sometimes knows me better than I know myself.
