A fashion and food loving millennial with a knack for PR and an obsession with travel – just a few words to describe Maria-Teresa, the face behind Fashion. Food. Flair.
Known online for her luxurious adventures, this social media maven found her calling while living abroad. After a quick stint teaching elementary school in England, Maria-Teresa decided to move back to Toronto to pursue her passion for creative writing. Raised with four older sisters in an Italian household, fashion and food seemed like a no brainer.
Coupled with her talent for digital media and story telling, she leveraged her blog to build her career in public relations.
She now spends her days helping international clients build their online and offline presence. From teaching CEO’s how to use social media, to garnering national media coverage, to running a successful lifestyle blog; Maria-Teresa has no plans of slowing down.
With her Yorkie sidekick named London to help her out she’s just getting started.
What is the first thing that you notice about a potential love interest?
His height. I know I’m a short girl but there’s something about tall men that makes me go crazy!
What’s the best date you’ve ever been on?
That’s a hard one – I’ve been with my guy for four years and he always makes the effort to spoil me! If I had to choose one I would say our date in Las Vegas two years ago. We watched an outstanding performance of Cirque du Soleil’s O, then ate at a delicious steakhouse, then spent the rest of the night gambling.
What’s your instant deal breaker?
When he doesn’t know how to be a gentleman after the first date. Call me old fashioned but I grew up watching my father and my grandfather taking care of the women in our the family – opening doors, carrying bags, walking on the outside of the sidewalk. Chivalry is a must for me.
What’s the strangest thing someone has done to get your attention?
Remember BBM? Well I was dating one guy who liked to update his BBM status with things he really wanted to say to me… That one ended quickly!
If there was one piece of advice you could give to other women out there, what would it be? Be confident in yourself, love who you are and trust that everything will fall into place.
